Medical Benefits We have dedicated financial counselors to assist you with your medical benefits only. While there will be planned interactions (e.g., new patient appointment and IVF registration appointment), you may ask to meet with a financial counselor at any point. They are committed to assisting you and are available to:
Work with you to determine your insurance coverage and benefits for infertility
Discuss alternative financial arrangements if you do not have insurance coverage or if your insurance does not cover the entirety of your services
Navigate the precertification process for certain services and insurance companies. The precertification process can take approximately 7 to 21 days

Pharmacy Benefits (Medications)
Once a medication order is placed for treatment by your physician, the pharmacy specialists through Northwestern Medicine Specialty Pharmacy will assist you with your pharmacy/medication benefits and precertification. There are occasions when medications are entirely separate from your medical benefits; therefore, we believe it is important to have our expert pharmacy clinicians as partners in the support and navigation of your pharmaceutical needs and benefits.
